I am a Cell Biology researcher. I am currently studying mechanisms involved in resistance to cancer therapy at the Medical University of South Carolina, USA. I am also a Yoga Biology researcher, one of the pioneers studying Yogic breathing (Pranayama) using modern biological tools. My recent research papers have provided scientific evidence how Yogic breathing could promote our well being through expression of biomarkers. I have been speaking worldwide about my Yogic breathing research, and teach simple Yogic breathing exercises in a conference hall setting. I was a speaker at TEDx Charleston in 2015.
In my talks I introduce new research findings and clinical applications of Pranayama. Plus I teach the audience how to perform these breathing exercises.
