At the delicate age of 11, Esther Crombag turned blind from one day to another. Naturally this brought an immense confusion for her and her environment. Fortunately, Esther at a young age was able to exchange the crippling confusion and frustration that came with being blind for a new energizing mission; she simply decided that her live would not be the life of a disabled person but that of an enabled and empowered person. After which she, of course by trial and error, pushed herself consistently from the first Braille words BAK, BAL, LAK she learned on her twelfth birthday to a cum laude Masters in Law. From there she became a lecturer in Law at the university and a deputy judge. In addition, Esther put a lot of perseverance and energy in sports. She was Dutch champion on the tandem in various disciplines four times. Esther wrote a book called 'Blind Trust', an inspiring story about the fact that we can all achieve so much more than we think. It's just a matter of setting goals and believing in yourself.

Imagine you would lose one of your senses from one day to another. What would you do? How would you react? What do you think it would mean for your life. Esther will be able to tell you the inspiring story of what it meant for her.
